Getting Decorated

The other night we finally got in the Christmas spirit - we put the Christmas music on and put up the Christmas tree. It's interesting to decorate with lots of little hands that are just dying to touch all the pretty things coming out of boxes that have been stored all year long. Eventually Olivia was given the assignment of official photographer. These are the pictures she took:

And I could continue. Lots of pictures of the lights! So Olivia was reassigned to helping with the lights. Noah also helped with lights.Noah also likes to make his own ornaments. This is a matchbox car on the end of a loop of paper.

The next day we decorated the kids' little trees for their bedrooms. Barbie helped decorate this tree.

We are now officially in the Christmas spirit at our house! Merry Christmas!

Looks cute. I thought about the mini trees but was afraid Isaiah would never leave it alone at nap time. I like the matchbox car - very creative!

Tell Olivia that her pictures were great! So cute! You were brave to tackle the lights with the kids. Adam and I do the tree and lights and then holler for the kids to come decorate. A friend of mine started me out on a tradition of getting an ornament on every trip you go on. We had so much fun talking about all the fun times we had on vacation while we put on the ornaments.
I am so disappointed that you will not be in MN. I was so looking forward to seeing you. Maybe we can try planning a trip again.

What a professional photographer you have! Jill, you are welcome to stay at our home anytime. Dana already has reservations. I think it consists of the boys staying with us and her in Jim spending the weekend in Chicago. I am not sure how she worked that out!

Those are some great pictures! Olivia did a great job, so did Barbie on her tree :) Merry Christmas to your family as well!

Hey Jill,
I thought I left you a message about how great the pictures were. Maybe I never finished it. Anyways, I love their individual trees. Does Paul have the name of Steve Bakers church in Illinois? Your Mom thought it might be close to where we are moving. Let me know.

Aren't all the helping hands wonderful?!?!?! Luke and Emilee ran up and down the hall with my two strands of gold beads for the tree. Needless to say they ended up one knotted mess in the end!!:) Cute pictures...I love the little trees for each of them!!:)

Cute pictures....I love the little trees of their own. That one picture of Noah reminds me of what Jeff looked like at that age!:)

Hey Jill, I wrote a big long comment awhile ago and just realized that it must not have went through.
I loved the pictures Olivia did especially with her and the lights. We always do the lights without the kids so I was pretty impressed!
We started a tradition of collecting ornaments of different places that we have been. It makes it so fun when you are hanging the ornaments and the kids talk about the trips.
I am so disappointed that I won't see you. I am going to try to call or email you soon.
Love ya!
